Strength, Dignity, Hope
My name is Marki Sulzbach and I received a master’s degree in clinical counseling from Wake Forest University in May of 2019. I also hold an undergraduate degree in psychology from Barclay College. My theoretical orientation at this point in my career is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy along with Person-Centered therapeutic techniques. I completed my practicum and both internships at Art It Out Therapy Center LLC in Marietta, GA and utilize art and play therapy techniques within my therapy sessions. I have 1 year of training in art therapy and also have 2 years of experience as a residential specialist in a child residential care setting. I am skilled in treating clients from ages 5-65 with a variety of conditions. Specifically, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and major life transitions. I am currently a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (A15275) in the state of North Carolina and am a Board Certified Telemental Health Provider (BC-TMH).
For over 16 years I worked professionally in the live theatre entertainment industry. This has given me a unique perspective on the arts and you will find that this often influences my therapeutic practices.
It is my belief that as individuals become more aware and accepting of themselves, the more capable they are of finding a sense of peace and contentment in their lives.
It is my goal as your therapist to provide you with the skills and tools you may need in order to strengthen your resolve, uphold your dignity, and lead you toward a bright hope for your future.
